Our Team
The Ocean in Motion team consists of 5 students that attend the University of Lethbridge.
We are in the Global Citizenship Cohort which made this entire organization possible. The Cohort allowed us the opportunity to make connections in the real world which we will use to raise Ocean health awareness. Check out our individual pages to learn more about this incredible team of students!
Hannah Eeles
Hannah is a Sociology major aspiring to work for the United Nations. She is the co-founder of Ocean in Motion and is head of internal affairs. Her favorite animal is a Sea Turtle and after doing some research, she realized the extent of waste present in the ocean. On a trip this past year to Mexico she went on a boat ride across the bay of Puerto Vallarta and saw garbage floating in every direction. With that in mind, she came to UofL wanting to make a change and that is exactly what she is trying to do with Ocean in Motion.

Julia Medlicott
Julia is a Neuroscience undergraduate student with a love of animals, both extinct and alive, natural history, and art. Julia is the Marketing Associate and Graphic Design Specialist for OinM. She has sailed along the Canadian West Coast for 6 years and counting, having seen at least 5 different species of sea life up close in their natural environment. Cleaning up and exploring remote beaches like Brooks Peninsula Provincial Park made her realize the global impact of pollution, what she saw was eye-opening, and that was just what was visible. Since seeing the massive amounts of damage human waste causes in some of the most remote parts of our world, she has been inspired to help reduce ocean waste.
